Developed through a HUD Section 202 loan program, this welcoming community provides 98 apartments, including studio and one-bedroom floor plans, nestled within a professionally landscaped garden setting.

Each apartment features a spacious layout with a dedicated living space, a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator and stove, a bathroom with grab bars, a private balcony, vinyl flooring, air conditioning, ample cabinet and closet storage, and internet and cable connections. Residents enjoy a variety of onsite amenities, including laundry facilities, elevators, a spacious lobby, a large recreation and community room, onsite management and maintenance, and onsite service coordination to support independent living.

Conveniently located near shopping, dining, healthcare services, and public transportation, St. John’s Plaza combines comfort, security, and accessibility in a vibrant senior living environment. The community was made possible through the non-profit sponsorship of Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego and is owned by Calexico Plaza Development Corporation, a nonprofit 501©(3) organization dedicated to providing quality affordable housing for seniors. Parking is available on a limited basis, and a waiting list is maintained for parking spaces.
